Beside the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and at the foot of the Esk Valley lies this holiday cottage in a pretty hamlet close to the village of Grosmont. From this idyllic location holidaymakers can board the steam railway which runs at the bottom of the garden, and links with mainline services at Whitby. The cottage has been tastefully refurbished and has retained much of its original character with beams, inglenook fireplace and views over open countryside from all windows. This is ’Heartbeat country’ within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park - a haven for walkers. Within easy reach is the historic fishing town of Whitby with its sandy beaches, harbour and abbey, Castle Howard and York. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
